Founded in January 1947 by Luis Bardón López in Madrid’s Plaza de San Martín, Bardón bookshop is now, after more than 50 years under the management of his son Luis Bardón Mesa, one of Spain’s leading antiquarian bookshops. His daughters, Alicia and Belén Bardón, have been continuing his work for 25 years.
A member of the International League of Antiquarian Booksellers (ILAB) and the British Antiquarian Booksellers Association (ABA), it specializes in early printing, from incunabula to the 19th century.
We offer a comprehensive professional service related to antique books, including cataloging, identification, valuation, and professional appraisal of libraries and archives. With more than 75 years of professional activity, we guarantee solvency, transparency, and, of course, absolute confidentiality in relation to all our orders.
The bookshop is currently closed to the public temporarily due to a structural problem in the building that is in the process of being resolved. We apologize for any inconvenience.
