During his exile in the USA, the Catalan genius produced a series of 30 prints, including watercolors and drawings, notable especially for the use of experimental techniques such as “bulletism” (shooting ink bullets) and the use of rhinoceros horns for inking. This is the first edition reproducing some of those prints, published by Random House as part of its illustrated Modern Library series. The translation is by Peter Motteux, a classic version that was very popular in the English-speaking world at the time.
